The MINI Concept Aceman combines sustainable driving pleasure, connectivity, technological innovations and the signature MINI style – for a complete package defining the next MINI generation. The legendary go-cart feeling, its distinctive lines and thoroughly thought-through design are the hallmarks embraced by photographer team HE&ME to stage the model. Client support for the shoot came from Anita Tauber and CD Antje List. TREY was in charge of retouching and CGI.
The MINI Concept Aceman blends the functionality of an SAV with the typical agility and flexibility of a true MINI. Clearly defined contours and edges full of strong character pave the way for the future of the MINI brand. Multiple facets are added by the light turquoise hue – lending a subtle three-dimensionality to the surfaces and edges depending on the angle of the light. And thanks to a chameleon effect, the roof rack in British Racing Green shimmers in a variety of colors.
“The design language of the MINI Concept Aceman heralds the beginning of a new design era for MINI,” explains Adrian van Hooydonk, Head of BMW Group Design, in a press release. Design features typical of the MINI brand have always been unmistakable, Hooydonk goes on to say. “We are returning to these now, but at the same time consistently combining them with innovative technology. With this approach, we are redeveloping the MINI design icons, with all their analogue strengths, for the digital future.”
“The purely electric vehicle concept means the design can again be geared more towards MINI’s traditional basic values in terms of the principle of using space creatively,” says Oliver Heilmer, Head of MINI Design. “This creates models that take up little space on the road while offering even more comfort, more versatility and more emotion on the inside than ever before.”
