Nicky WALSH photographed the delicious motifs for the book 'Schritt für Schritt...', which translates to 'Step by Step' – from making dough to your own creations' by Cynthia Barcomi Friedman. Thanks for foodstyling go to Max FABER, also bookable via Nina Rautenberg. Created during production was a teaser film for the book BARCOMI'S SCHOOL OF BAKING. Concept, camera and scenes live from the bakery came from Nicky Walsh and Oskar Melander. In charge of food were Cynthia Barcomi and Max Faber.
American baker Cynthia Barcomi came to Berlin in 1985 as a dancer. She is an entrepreneur, baking expert, book author, TV celebrity and mother of four. She studied philosophy and theater sciences at the famous Columbia University in New York, which Barack Obama also attended several years later, and worked as a dancer before turning her passion into a profession in her new home town of Berlin by bringing 1990s American coffeeshop culture to Germany.
