7 Seas Productions : night shots with a racing vibe - MINI Paceman JCW shoot in Monte Carlo, the ‘Le Grand Bordel’ book project on Picasso’s trail and fashion productions

7 Seas Productions produced the racing version of a MINI Paceman in Monaco. The Paceman JCW is short for John Cooper Works, an English tuning workshop that adds more power and sporty gears to all MINI models. Kai-Uwe Gundlach was the photographer of choice for the BSSP agency from Sausalito, California.

The night shots with a racing vibe were captured on locations including Boulevard Larvotto in Monte Carlo. The photographer and the production team clearly met the brief to capture a ‘big city’ look.

A different kind of car shoot took place in the South of France for Hamburg photographer Gerd George. The shoot was for a book titled ‘Le Grand Bordel’, which tells the story of Picasso’s Entourage in a series of atmospheric still life images.

"...For example the story of the housekeeper, and how she came to Hamburg and why the exact same meal Picasso was served for 30 years is still being cooked there today. We meet the Windsors, sit at Dior’s table, and at some point, after a stop at an Italian Palazzo, a car race and moving house to Paris, we finally get to Picasso’s studio for a late Dejeuner…”

A menu accompanies each image, artistically arranged by Hamburg stylist Elke Rüss, Ursula Ritter from KolleRebbe came up with the art direction and Judith Stoletzki wrote the text. The photos are also exhibited at Gilda Gallery at Atelier Jirko Bannas, Clemens-Schultz-Str. 87, 20359 Hamburg.

7 Seas also had a whole bunch of additional fashion productions: HIRMER from Munich, HENNES & MAURITZ from Sweden with a new sport line and the tennis top 10 player Tomas Berdych as their advertising icon, as well as ZERRES with the new Summer/Autumn collection. More on this on GoSee shortly.
