Independent French agency Herezie is responsible for the ‘Beyond the Sky’ campaign for Italian ‘supercar manufacturer’ Maserati. The spot advertises the new Maserati Cielo, the spyder version of the legendary MC20 model. It was directed by Alessandra KILA c/o EMEIS DEUBEL.
The name of the automobile is the perfect choice : It’s a reference to its special convertible top. It is equipped with a highly modern, intelligent electrochromic (smart glass) window that can instantly be transformed from clear to opaque at the touch of a button on the central screen, courtesy of polymer-dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC) technology. The roof is also best-in-class in terms of sound insulation and when it comes to the speed with which it opens and closes (only 12 seconds).
“In this spot directed by Alessandra Kila, we see the car being put through its paces seemingly on land and in the air, conveying driving performance that is a profound sensory experience.” says the director’s representation, EMEIS DEUBEL.
Maserati : “Dramatic effect doesn’t stop when the MC20 Cielo stands still. While remaining a spyder in the purest sense, the doors shift upwards and outwards towards the sky as they open. Without compromising weight or performance, every arrival is an event.”
Maserati is an Italian carmaker based in Modena. The company was founded in 1914 in Bologna. Its trademark is the legendary trident.
