The gambling industry is just as much affected by the lack of skilled workers. Which is why SPIELBANK BERLIN has established the Spielbank Berlin Academy to train new employees. It is the only vocational school of its kind throughout Germany for aspiring casino professionals. It not only teaches a firm theoretical foundation, learners also take the first steps of their career through on-the-job training.
To spread the news about the extraordinary opportunities, the creative agency STROBINSKI developed a 360° recruiting campaign in which various Spielbank employees flex their professional skills – and their new job titles too. The coupier at the roulette table becomes ‘the pro on the sidelines of the playing field’ and the poker croupier is the ‘ace between jacks and queens’. A total of seven different occupational groups await future colleagues at the Spielbank Berlin Academy.
Film production was in the hands of E+P Films. Post production was taken care of by KAEPTN. The photographer on set was Florian BISON c/o KLEIN PHOTOGRAPHEN. Retouch work was done by GoSee Member POP from Hamburg. The film is being shown in movie theaters across Berlin since 5 May.
STROBINSKI was founded in 2017 by Jörg Sachtleben and Jens Agotz in Berlin. Their client list of agencies includes, for example, A. Lange & Söhne, BVG, HAYS, Spielbank Berlin and the REWE Group. Since 2021, the agency is also represented with an office in Hamburg. And the creatives are certainly getting everything done beforehand so that you can meet them once again on 25 May at UPDATE in Berlin…

“50% documentary and 50% fiction, this short film about protagonist Flockey Ocscor leads us through his way of diving into his creative mindset as a dancer. The viewer is taken on a journey including the endless inspiration he explores, while his perception of reality is changed with every slight influence, always creating something totally different with every move. It’s him standing in his old shoes and riding new waves. Time after time.” director and photographer duo Ben & Martin, aka BAM, tell us about their recently finished film.
The two explain : “The title ‘This Is Not L.A.’ is a sarcastic allusion to the dazzling and wild world in the city of Los Angeles, creating a discrepancy between his reality and his desires. Since it was his creative path which led him to L.A, Flockey has, of course, a strong inspirational bond to the city. But as he states, it’s about yourself, the people, the vibe, and the atmosphere. It’s the moment that leads you so you don’t have to think about anything. Because this is a never-ending story of something unique in the making.”
Post production was in the hands of POP., Hamburg.

The new short film by photographer and director SVEN JACOBSEN whisks you away to the vanished land of your youth. In the stage of your life when you lived life from one day to the next as a teenager and had the time to live out your emotions to the fullest… light, carefree days full of endless gentle summer rain. Getting drunk the first time, your first kiss, … everything was magical.
Sven Jacobsen : ‘‘The scenes reflect for the most part my own memories of situations personally experienced in this or a similar way. We shot the film in northern Germany over the course of three days with twelve teens who all know each other well and usually spend their time together.’’
The film is a co-production by Sven Jacobsen, Julian Mährlein and Jonathan Brooking. Responsible for grading was POP. post production.
