I started photographing the streets of NYC at the beginning of the pandemic in mid march 2020 for my ongoing project. The apocalypse was strangely attractive, an empty New York, unthinkable, and unseen before. The lack of people gave way to a view onto the city itself, a city resting. Now it is slowly bouncing back, I already miss the calm, but I will definitely don't miss the reason for it !! So Keep Going New York ! I keep photographing it, the pandemic made me a street photographer, I used to mostly photograph people, pose them, direct them, or shoot stories about and with them; here I still let a few walk through my pictures but I don't engage, they are anonymous. The masks are the time stamp for the series, they let you know: this is 2020. This work is different from my previous personal projects, but hey, this time sure is very different too. © // 15 files show complete blog
